Intro to Tufting Workshop at Trail House Cafe

Join us for a fun, beginner-friendly tufting workshop where you get to create your very own custom mini rug. If you can trace a line, you can tuft. It is not difficult at all, and most people get the hang of the tufting gun in just 5 minutes.

Event Details

Date: Sunday, July 19th, 2026

Time: Starts at 11:00 AM (The workshop lasts about 90 minutes)

Location: Trail House Cafe

4036 Montgomery Dr, Santa Rosa, CA 95405

(We will be crafting outside on the tables, so please bring a hat for shade)

Capacity: Limited to a maximum of 8 people (Spots fill up fast!)

Frame Size: 14 by 14 inches

Yarn: Choose up to 4 colors from our massive selection of 50+ choices

How It Works

Design and Trace: Have your design idea ready to go when you arrive! You will trace it directly onto the canvas frame.

The Fun Part: You get to handle the tufting gun and do all the actual tufting to create your piece.

The Studio Finish: After the workshop, I will take your creation back to my studio to handle the final steps. I will apply a professional backing and shave the top loops of the rug to make your design details look crisp and clean.

Pickup and Turnaround

Turnaround Time: Your finished rug will be ready in about a week.

Pickup: You will receive an email notification as soon as it is ready. You can pick up your completed piece directly from the Trail House Cafe.
